Johnny A.S. Valdes Reconnects with Coach Franz Pumaren and the Legendary UAAP Basketball Champs

Members of the ’98 and ’99 DLSU Men’s Basketball team who won the first two of four straight UAAP Championship under legendary coach Franz Pumaren were treated to a steak dinner at House of Wagyu Stone Grill in Green Hills by then team manager Johnny Valdes.

Some of the members of the Champion Green Archers present, aside from Coach Franz Pumaren and Team Manager Johnny A.S. Valdes, were Don Allado, Dino Aldeguer, Ronald Cuan, Ramon “Mon” Jose, Calijohn Orfrecio, Renren Ritualo, Allen Glenn Patrimonio, Adonis Sta. Maria, Dominique Uy, Dionisio Valerio, Willie Wilson, Mayor Francis Zamora, Raymund Magsumbol, BJ Manalo, Ritchie Romero, Dino Sanchez, Mark Kong, Miguelito Gozum and Erick Arejola.

Not present were Alvin Castro, Vincent San Diego, and Manny Ramos. On record, the Green Archers have won 8 UAAP men’s basketball titles. (Unofficially, they won 10 on the court)
