3rd Dingdong Avanzado Celebrity Golf Classic

Celebrity, entertainer, singer and politician Dingdong Avanzado recently staged the 3rd Dingdong Avanzado Celebrity Golf Classic at Valley Golf & Country Club Antipolo City for the benefit of the Autism Society of the Philippines – Antipolo Chapter.

The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of persons with autism spectrum disorder to become the best of their potentials — self-reliant, productive and socially-accepted members of an Autism-OK Philippines. Proceeds of the event went to ASP as part of Dingdong’s advocacy to help.

A core group of friends headed by his wife and one of the Philippines’ biggest selling female recording artists. Jessa Zaragoza-Avanzado, upcoming pop singer-daughter Jayda, his LSGH 85 batchmates Herbie Arabello and golf rulesman Henry Arabello helped Dingdong staged this event. Likewise, friends from the entertainment industry, including musical director and composer Louie Ocampo, actor TonTon Guiterrez and his wife Glydel Mercado, Jeff Bernaldez, Cesar Montano, Atoy Co, Paolo Santos, sportscaster and journalist Anthony Suntay all played in the tournament. Businessmen like Rubby Lugtu, Ike Gangoso plus a lot more supported this advocacy of Dingdong by spending the day on the course with Dingdong.

The awarding ceremony hosted by Jesu Labrado, turned to a mini-concert with Dingdong, Jessa and Jayda performing on stage. Surprise numbers from Ara Mina and several other artists followed.

The overall Champion was Koko Elma with Jeff Bernaldez bagging the overall Low Gross trophy. In the celebrity division, Dingdong Avanzado earned the beautiful champions trophy with Louie Ocampo as 1st Runner Up and PBA superstar Atoy Co as 2nd Runner up. In the class A division, Roger Manjares, Jeric Hechanova and Celestino Lee came in 1,23.

The Class B trophy went to Jonathan Lumabao, followed closely by Jad Divinagracia and Jose Avelino Flores. And Renny Domingo won the class C division with Gerry Santos as first runner up and Ferdinand Syfu following close by.
